Ninth Week

"Do not focus too much on the future, focus on the present." a wise word from another teacher that I hang out with. I mostly hang out with male teachers, they teach the special kids, so they have a lot of free time, I also have a lot of freetime. This week I taught the students about how to read a clock and how to describe their yesterday. I closely follow the textbook just as my mentor did, she also print out some exercises for the kids but I don't think I have the capability to do the same so I just follow the textbook. I told my students to complete their exercises in their notebook, going pretty good. On Wednesday, a teacher told me to get ready because I need to fill out some forms to help him out, I gladly do so because I don't have anything else to do. Well that's it, gotta catch up with my work and that's it, i know i need to be more specific in this blog stuff but I don't really care, little mark better than no mark.

Eight Week

It was the eight week of my practical. Things are stagnant to say the least, go to school, teach a class, stay at bilik guru and hang out with other teachers if they have some free time to ask for their advice, things are boring. Sometimes, the GPK will ask for me to relief a class, I gladly do so, to be honest even though it is a small school, a lot of teachers asked me to relief his/her class, I don't mind at the slightest because it is better than to waste my life away in bilik guru. In relief class, I usually tell a story with a moral value implemented in it so it will be a learning experience for the students even though it's just a relief class. I taught year 3, I relief year 4 and year 5 classes, I thought the age difference will not be a big deal but it is, they are much more wilder and harder to control than my class, probably because they are not going to see me tomorrow but whatev. Next week, the teachers said they will be some hari kanak-kanak on Thursday and Mo

Seventh Week

The end has finally ended, everybody happy, I am happy, that's all that's matters. On the seventh week, I got to meet the other group from my class, group A, since teaching group B, I didn't have much expectation but group A surprises me, they are actually quite energetic and responsive to my lesson which is good because it makes my life a lot easier. My plan was to teach them what I taught group B last week but, to my surprise, they have already learned it, so I need to adapt and I need to think fast, I told them to flip to the next page and they willingly listen, and we learn that. Tuesday came and we are still learning the same topic, it was good topic, I taught plural nouns and how to use plurals and stuff. My first relief class is also this week, I relief year 4, I thought to myself they can't be that bad, they are 1 year older so they gotta be 1 year more mature than what I taught, nope, they are wild and crazy, it takes some time to control the class but I mana

Sixth Week

This week is the real beginning to my practicum, my lecturer called me and told me to teach, so I forwarded it to my mentor and she told me to pick the classes that I want, I picked Monday and Tuesday so I could have a mini holiday the rest of the week. I arrived at my school at 7:20, fairly late, my mentor told me it's better to arrive at 7:00 but I underestimated the time I need to get ready. Riding to school, after I've arrived, I stopped by the guard for temperature check, he's quick to know that I'm a new teacher. I parked my motorcycle and asked someone that I assumed is a teacher "where is the teachers' office?", he started asking me questions and I introduce myself while we walk to the teachers' office. Entering the office, a lot of other teachers started looking at me until someone asked about me and I introduced myself to all the teachers. Before the class began, I was nervous to the point of almost puking and always holding my bladder, th

Fourth and Fifth Week

So I put the fourth and fifth week together because I have been procrastinating a lot and this is suppose to be a fourth week blog but whatever, I guess there won't be 14 weeks total of posts but it's alright, my grade already ruined as it is. Groundbreaking news, I found out that my mentor was not supposed to oversee my blog, it's my supervisor, I had this supervisor taught me in sem 2 or 3 I can't remember, I also cannot remember one important thing, is she strict or not, probably not the strict one and it's probably the strict one, 50/50 chance, but anyway, hello to my supervisor, at this point you're probably like "what the hell are this kid writing", well you're not alone, I too have no idea what I am writing. So, third week lesson plan is done, but the video has not, same goes to the fourth week except the lesson plans are also not done, I spent my days listening to music and playing games and the consequences have caught up with me. On a

Third Week

Well, it is the third week of my practical, to be honest, who really cares, there's probably like 2-3 people reading this so no need for such long written paragraphs, that's not very polite of me to say but that's the truth, to everyone who reads this, I appreciate you. My biggest enemy is time, in fact, I wrote the third week in the fourth week, a week goes by faster than I thought. Still, trying my best to keep up because I do not want to fail another semester. I have failed a semester, such a stupid way to failed it too, see, I have a friend that I've known since 8, he's like this stupid, careless, care for nothing guy, but, his biggest strenght is his charm, like he can convince you to lend him RM100 and you'll be like "alright". The semester that I failed was, wait, halfway through writing this, I noticed that it doesn't follow the guideline, but whatever because my practical was nothing special, so here goes. The semester that I failed was th

Second week

Well it is the second week of my practical, I have class every Wednesday which can make my creation of 4 lps per week difficult but it's fine. Me and my mentor are starting to know each other style a bit more, she's a young fresh graduate, so our age difference is not that big of a gap. I make my weekly video using PowerPoint, it takes 1-2 hours and I didn't even edit it, I just commentate over the animation I made in the software. My second week, it's still the Food, Please! topic, I don't really like food but I will try my best to explain it to future gen. Off to the third week, sorry it is a short post because I am very busy with being alive stuff.
